Robert Foley Vineyards
Robert Foley began his wine making career in the Napa Valley in 1977, working at a number of highly regarded Napa Valley wineries including the famous Pride Mountain Vineyards, where he spent 15 years as founding wine maker. During this period he also created the highly acclaimed Switchback Ridge, Hourglass, Paloma, School House, and Engel Family wines.
In 1998 Robert Foley Vineyards bottled its flagship Claret (a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend), and has since expanded and diversified its production to offer more of the big reds Bob is famous for – Petite Sirah, Merlot, Charbono, the limited-release Howell Mountain Cabernet, and Bob's latest creation, The Griffin (a blend of the best in the red cellar). Ever seeking new, fun, and interesting, Bob has also bottled three of his favorite whites: Pinot Blanc, Semillon, and Roussanne.
Bob’s reputation for producing very expressive wines that finish gracefully continues to develop at his new winery facility on the summit of Napa County’s Howell Mountain, where more than 1,000 barrels are housed in an extensive cave system (completed in 2008) for the production of Robert Foley wines.
When Bob's not making amazing wine, he spends time with his wife and business manager Kelly Kehoe, his children Trini and Jack, and new granddaughter Hayden. You can also find Bob jammin' at venues across the county with his rock 'n' roll group, The Robert Foley Band.

The Wines
Pinot Blanc is a deliciously balanced white. Charbono, an obscure French variety grown in only a handful of California vineyards combines a remarkable depth of color with complex fruit and a soft finish. The Merlot is structured for Cabernet lovers, rich ripe and expansive. The Claret (Cabernet Sauvignon), is crafted from mountain-grown grapes and some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. The Petite Sirahs are some of the most extracted red wines to be found, yet they too have a soft, silky finish. Robert Foley Claret and Petite Sirah are quite enjoyable when young, and will continue to improve for at least 20+ years
